Sporting Clube de Goa Stay Unbeaten at Home with 3-0 Win Against Neroca FC

Panaji, February 25- Sporting Clube de Goa maintained their perfect home record with a 3-0 victory over Neroca FC in the AIFF I-League 2 triumphing at Ella Academy Ground, Old Goa on Tuesday.

After playing three away matches and winning two home matches, Sporting Clube de Goa secured another victory with a strong performance in their third home match against Neroca FC.

Sporting lined up with Abhimanyu Singh in goal, supported by defenders Joel Colaco, Joyner Lourenco, Myron Fernandes and Kunal Kundaikar. The midfield saw Samuel Costa, Sushil Meitei, Dattaraj Gaonkar and Naocha Singh dictating play while Doyal Alves and Ronaldo Oliveira led the attack. Sporting Clube de Goa, starting on a cautious note, soon found their rhythm and delivered a dominant 3-0 victory over Neroca FC. This victory marks their third consecutive home win, following a strong run of back-to-back home triumphs. Meanwhile, Neroca FC endured their third defeat of the season, with one draw and two wins, leaving them with seven points.

With goals from Doyal Alves, Joel Colaco, and Naocha Singh securing all three points for the Flaming Oranje, taking them to ten points from six games, Sporting Clube de Goa, continue to build impressive momentum as they push forward in the league, securing their third consecutive home win and strengthening their position.

Doyal opened the scoring in the 15th minute, converting a perfect cross from Kunal to Joel, who laid it off for Doyal to strike. The second goal came swiftly, with midfielder Sushil delivering a perfect pass to Joel, who found the back of the net in the 22nd minute, doubling Sporting Clube de Goa’s lead. The second half kicked off with Naocha Singh making an immediate impact, scoring the third goal for Sporting Clube de Goa in the 46th minute. His strike sealed the 3-0 victory, ensuring a dominant performance for the team.


Sporting’s solid defensive display, coupled with clinical finishing, secured all three points, as they continue to build momentum in the league. The club will next be seen playing their away match against SAT in Manjeri at Payanad Stadium on 2nd March 2025.
